Marcos is the tech strategist at LaMedichi, managing the development team, defining the roadmap and technical architecture. Marcos co-founded one company in corporate training that helped big companies and the government. He is also a board member at an NGO that helps 2000+ schools in almost every state in Brazil, helping around 40.000 students and teachers with lesson planning, curriculum and socioemotional skills.
He had experience at the Virtual University of São Paulo, a government university that helps 50 thousand students to access quality higher education for free and is an associate at Agenda Edu, an EdTech that helps more than 1.700 schools in Brazil to engage families in the students learning journey.
Dr. Barbara Freeman is the creator and team leader of LaMedichi. She has worked on 5 continents and is a long-standing consultant to the World Bank. Barbara is the creator of multiple educational interventions and innovative entrepreneurial initiatives, including co-founding KPMG Consulting’s Risk Management practice in Southeast Asia.
She was a visiting scholar for many years at UC Berkeley Graduate School of Education and a visiting professor at the University of Sao Paulo. Earlier in her career, Barbara worked on Wall Street and the City of London as a currency options trader.
